SpaceX's plans to launch more rockets from California were denied by the state commission this week. The plan involved Elon Musk's proposal to increase rocket launches to 50 per year. Elon has been outspoken on Twitter (X) and has faced criticism for some of his recent public statements. Commissioners have previously questioned whether SpaceX rocket launches should be considered private activity, as more than 80% of the rockets carry Starlink equipment.

Elon Musk has been using Starlink to help people without internet access in areas recently impacted by hurricanes. The state commission and SpaceX have clashed multiple times, and Commissioner Gretchen Newsom stated that Elon poses a risk due to his confrontations with various federal agencies.

Despite this, Elon still plans to submit a proposal to increase rocket launches to 100 per year next year. Due to the rapid expansion of the company, Elon continues to face challenges with both state and federal agencies.
