Nancy Pelosi’s husband sells over $500,000 in Visa stock ahead of the antitrust lawsuit slammed by the DOJ. The company has illegally monopolized the debit card market, as the DOJ states in the antitrust lawsuit which was conducted over years of review. Over 2,000 shares of the stock were sold for a sale price between $500,000 and $1 million and were disclosed on a transaction sheet marked “SP” by Pelosi, referring to her husband Paul. At the time of the sale there was no information public about this lawsuit. This comes at the heels of discussion on whether or not members of congress should be able to trade individual stocks, as they have access to information the public does not.
