UBS has developed an AI tool to streamline M&A deal-making by analyzing over 300,000 companies in seconds, while navigating compliance risks.
UBS has just announced a development of an artificial intelligence tool that can help clients with M&A deals, analyzing 300,000 companies in less than half a minute. The tool that has been developed will allow for easier identification of potential targets of activist campaigns by comparing the tone of management and presentations. UBS has stated that it sees use cases for AI to help assist the legal tasks for M&A transactions that are very costly otherwise. The tool has been in use at UBS for over a year now and has been seen to be very helpful in the M&A space.
Many fear that AI will displace jobs over the next couple years, and earlier this year, Citigroup Inc. stated that it will displace many jobs in the banking industry compared to any other sector. Many jobs in the banking space can be optimized by AI for better automation.
